Hammersmith and Fulham Landlord Accreditation Discount: How to Save £80 on Your Licence Fee
LBHF offers an £80 discount on property licence fees for accredited landlords. On a £755 selective or additional licence, that's more than 10% off — and it costs nothing beyond the accreditation itself.
Two Discounts, One Application
The council recognises two types of discount:
Accredited Landlord Discount (£80) — available if you hold active individual accreditation through the London Landlord Accreditation Scheme (LLAS) or the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA).
Landlord Rental Charter Discount (£50) — available if you sign up to LBHF's Landlord Rental Charter during the application process.
Only one discount applies per application. If you qualify for both, the council automatically takes the larger one — the £80 accreditation discount. You can't stack them.
How to Get Accredited
LLAS (London Landlord Accreditation Scheme) runs a one-day training course covering landlord obligations, tenancy law, and property standards. It's aimed at landlords operating in London boroughs. To become accredited, you must also agree to follow the LLAS code of conduct and be a fit and proper person.
NRLA (National Residential Landlords Association) landlord membership currently costs £125 per year and includes an advice line, documents and guides, and discounted training and accreditation courses. NRLA accreditation is a separate member scheme that requires registration, core training, ongoing CPD, and continued membership.
The council's 2026/27 fee note offers the discount where the licence holder or manager is a member of an accredited landlord body. Check with LBHF what proof it accepts before applying, and make sure any qualifying membership or accreditation is current.
When to Apply the Discount
The discount is applied during the online application process. You'll need your accreditation reference number or membership details to verify your status. The saving applies to the total licence fee (both Part 1 and Part 2 combined), though the non-refundable Part 1 fee is calculated before the discount appears on Part 2.

Is It Worth It?
If you hold one property, the £80 saving does not cover the £125 annual NRLA landlord membership on its own. If you hold multiple eligible properties in the borough, each licence application can receive its own discount; weigh the membership's other benefits against its annual cost.
